Charity Events

Here are some great charity events, that keep you fit & team build. I am blessed to have friends watch the homefront while I do charity work..(our hidden angels)

Fascinating people I meet at these event:

· A woman in her 80s finishing 5k in 23 minutes. yet she is so humble!

· Cancer survivors running 24 minutes or better in a 5k

· Owners & pets dressed up as they run together… bananas, hotdogs .

· Pacing a great runner, turns out to be sister of a church friend

B:38:07 R:27:47 8:58 tot: 1:29:08 8/22 ag, 259/476 F , Trans:4:30,2:44))…a friend, John Hobgood (scuba diver, lifeguard, 150mile cyclist) drowned while I was in water. I can understand, Water was murky, couldn’t see below you 3 feet, too crowded in water, swimmers bumping into & over you, kayak support couldn’t tell if having issue…waves only 3 mins apart…s/b spread by expected pace, not age or weight. I wore swim shoes, big mistake, silt collected & dragged me. 2010 race was split over 2 days.
